Good news for the group! Through its subsidiary Circus Casino France, Gaming1 has just received two new gaming concessions in Switzerland for the Davos and Crans-Montana casinos.
In 2017, the Gaming1 group stepped onto the Swiss market with the investment in the Davos casino, and they then later became the main shareholder in 2021. Since October 2022, via its subsidiary Circus Casino France, Gaming1 has also established itself in Valais after acquiring the majority of shares in the Crans-Montana Casino, a renowned casino in a tourism and leisure environment.
The group has received positive news, as we have secured two new operating concessions for both casinos for the period spanning 2025-2044. Gaming1 thus consolidates its strategic position and its commitment to the Swiss market, which is exemplary in terms of regulation and player protection, values dear to the Group.
After a competitive process in which several operators were in the running to receive the new concessions, Gaming1 was finally chosen for these two prestigious locations, demonstrating once again our competence and expertise in the game of chance sector.
Emmanuel Mewissen, CEO of Gaming1, made no secret of his enthusiasm:
"I am delighted and proud that the Gaming1 group has been awarded these two new concessions for the Davos and Crans-Montana casinos. This news delights all our employees and confirms the quality of our management as part of our development strategy. We would like to thank the various authorities for the trust they have placed in us.”
Gaming1 is thinking big for the Crans-Montana Casino. The group has plans to modernize and expand the casino with a sportsbar, seminar rooms, a new restaurant area overlooking the pond and function rooms. The casino is also committed to reducing the building’s greenhouse gas emissions by 75% by 2035. Gaming1 also hopes to obtain an online license to bring its technological expertise and offer Swiss players an immersive multi-channel experience.
As for Davos, Gaming1 intends to move the casino to a nearby facility in order to develop it further. A brand-new sportsbar will also be added to the operation.
