As part of its sustained growth, Gaming1 is looking for a Privacy Officer to join its legal team and drive compliance with data protection regulations.
This role requires a hybrid skill set, combining expertise in project management, IT, and legal knowledge to ensure our organization meets its privacy and security obligations effectively. All activities will be carried out in close collaboration with the Group Data Protection Officer (DPO) for Belgium.
YOUR ROLE
- Oversee and implement privacy policies and frameworks to ensure compliance with GDPR and other relevant data protection laws.
- Act as the primary point of contact for data protection matters, liaising with internal teams, DPO and external regulatory bodies.
- Manage privacy-related projects, ensuring timely execution and alignment with business objectives.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to assess and enhance data protection measures, including risk assessments, impact analyses, and security audits.
- Conduct training sessions and awareness programs to promote a culture of privacy and compliance within the organization.
- Monitor regulatory developments and advise senior management on potential impacts and necessary adjustments.
- Handle data subject requests, incidents, and breaches in accordance with legal requirements and best practices.
- Ensure the ongoing compliance of the group with privacy regulations by regularly updating policies, registers, procedures, and control mechanisms.
- Assess and mitigate privacy risks related to the use of artificial intelligence (AI).
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure ethical AI governance and compliance with data protection principles.
